Gerard Vincent is a Telecommunications and Services expert with over 30 years of experience in the industry worldwide.  Gerard worked with tens of operators to design, implement and optimize their wireless and wireline networks.  He also advised many companies on major decisions, such as strategy and technology selection.

In 1989, Gerard led Orange France Mobile Division in the design, implementation and optimization of the company’s nationwide GSM network, one of the world’s largest GSM networks. Gerard successfully launched the French GSM network in 1992 and led the design and implementation of more than 5,000 sites.

In 1993, he joined the executive management team of LCC, the leading provider of wireless engineering services and products.  As LCC’s President of the Services Group (120MUSD), Gerard led a team of over 500 engineers to design, implement and optimize wireless networks throughout the world.  He was directly involved in the management and supervision of several projects for key accounts in the United States, Europe and Asia, such as Verizon, British Telecom, Telefonica, KPN, Celcom, Smart. 

In 1998, as COO for TELEWORX, a fast growing telecommunications consulting and engineering software company, Gerard advised the business leaders of wireless companies around the world on key technical decisions and led several projects in efficiency improvements and cost savings.  His clients included AT&T Wireless, Sprint, Cingular and T-Mobile.

In 2003, Gerard started his own firm, XTEL Consulting to develop software that can combine Technology and Business. Several operators such as Hutchison have already acquired this family of software. Gerard also provided high level consulting services to help executives with their strategic decisions such as Hutchison Indonesia.  Gerard was in particular hired by Alcatel-Lucent in South East Asia to fight the decreasing market share by providing solutions based on Services and Business approaches.

In 2007, Gerard joined Gulf Towers as President and CEO. Gulf Towers is a leader in Telecom infrastructure sharing and is focused on emerging markets in Middle East and Asia. Gerard led several major acquisitions for more than 1 US billion.

In 2010, Gerard joined Spectrum Management Consulting as Partner. SMC is a US leader in consulting and operational services for strategic & business planning and technical & operational support including engineering services for financial, OEM, tower companies and carriers. In particular Gerard was a key element in the WCS license preservation of Nextwave by designing, implementing and operating a nationwide WiMAX network in a record time.

 

Gerard holds a bachelor of Sciences in Mathematics & Physics and an MSEE in Telecommunications from  France’s National Institute of Telecommunications
